Q&A's
What inspired you to pursue a career in the automation industry, and how did you get started in this field?
I have always been fascinated by manufacturing processes and how products are created. This has been a driving force in my career journey. From an early age, I’ve been captivated by the intricacies of how things are made and the systems that enable their production. This naturally led me to the field of automation, where I found a perfect alignment between my interests and career goals.
What do you enjoy most about working at ITS, and what sets you apart from other automation businesses in the industry?
Since joining ITS, I’ve been consistently impressed by the depth of knowledge, dedication, and passion that permeates the company at every level. It’s clear that everyone, from leadership to new team members, shares a genuine commitment to our industry.
I particularly enjoy the variety of challenges I encounter on a daily basis—no two days are ever the same. This dynamic environment keeps me engaged and motivated, as I get to tackle different problems and learn something new every day. The diversity of tasks and the ever-evolving nature of our work make each day unique and fulfilling.
What do you like to do outside of work to unwind and recharge, and how do you balance your personal and professional life?
Outside of work, my two young children keep my wife and I incredibly busy. Our days are often filled with trips to child-friendly places and activities, and it's truly rewarding to watch them grow and explore the world around them. Balancing family time with work is a priority for us, and we cherish every moment spent together.
When I do find some time to unwind, I enjoy hitting the gym or going for a run. It’s a great way for me to clear my mind and stay active. I’m also a Bolton Wanderers season ticket holder; being part of the match day atmosphere is a fun and exciting way to relax and enjoy some downtime (when we win!).
